• Most of the staff belonging to the Department are well-qualified, and well-experienced staff.

Physics:

The department has four spacious laboratories, one dark room and one research laboratory.  

The laboratories are well furnished and equipped with sufficient number of good quality apparatus  like optical benches ,  telescopes, micro scopes , Cathode ray oscilloscopes,  Signal Generators and other modern apparatus.  .Separate Labs are provided for each practical paper.   Each B.Sc. lab can accommodate 30 students at a time    The faculty members presented 19 research papers in International journals so far.

Computer Science

Strengths of the Department:

1. The Department has sophisticated, well-equipped labs. It has also permanent, wellqualified, and well-experienced staff.
2. The Department takes care of the holistic development of the students.
3. To enhance the technical skills of the students the labs are open throughout the year. It is striking to note that the services can be utilized even beyond the regular college timings.
4. The department plays a crucial role in conducting campus drives.
5. In order to ensure better placements, campus recruitment training and soft skills classes have been organized by eminent resource persons.
6. The department library has a very good collection of books, CD’s and video lectures.
7. The department is always in the forefront in organizing basic computer training programs to the teaching, non-teaching staff and non-computer science students.
8. The supporting staff of the department attends to the trouble shooting of the systems of the other departments and the office. It also provides some IT-related services like maintaining College Website.
9. With the impetus given by the department, a good number of students presented papers at various national conferences or seminars.
